My report card for the community garden

Just got the photographs from my RC Chairman that were taken during the recent Mid Autumn Festival Celebration held at my estate. The event was held just one day after the 3rd GCS Anniversary! What a crazy weekend it was for me then!

Mrs Lim Hwee Hua who is my MP for my constituency came to support event and one of her stops is the community garden which I started almost a year ago. This is perhaps her first visit after she declared the garden open last November. Hence, this visit is kind of a report card of sorts!

With all the smiles on the pictures, I guess I passed the test!

The banner for the event, complete with bamboos to add to the Chinese feel.

My friends - Nancy and Chong Ren - who visited me that afternoon to give their support.

Walking into the garden and the bottlegourd vine caught Mrs Lim's attention.

Bottlegourds hanging everywhere.

Harvesting a bottlegourd. Opps - the scissors appear to be not sharp enough to cut the fruit off the vine... *SWEAT*

Finally it came off... Phew!

Exploring the garden further. Look at the greens!

Instead of giving flowers, we presented Mrs Lim with a basketful of organic produce grown by the gardeners from the community garden.
